About Crom's Overtures

At Crom's Overtures, we are dedicated to creating epic fantasy artwork inspired by the uncensored illustrators of the 70s and 80s: Boris Vallejo, Frank Frazetta and Vicente Segrelles; the spirit of sword and sorcery; the style of Buscema; or more recently, Gerardo Zaffino. We also draw inspiration from the literature of Tolkien, Leiber, Ashton Smith, Eddison, Vance and, of course, Howard.

Added to this almost magical potion is a generous dose of Caravaggio's chiaroscuro, as we seek to achieve our own personal style: Sword and Tenebrism.

Our passion for mythical tales and striking visuals inspires us to create illustrations that capture the essence of adventure, heroism and, at times, eroticism. Stay tuned for more about our journey and creative process.
